VVE method
VIPKids has experience with the VVE method, which means that we pay extra attention to speech-language development in our toddler care program.
This emphasis is balanced, of course, with all other development areas (cognitive, social-emotional and motor) to help each child catch up where necessary and give them a flying start to their elementary education once the time comes at the age of four.
VVE Toddler Program
Our VVE Toddler Program currently consists of regular childcare times, from 7.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m. The toddler group can accommodate a maximum of 16 children.
* Supplementary daycare does not qualify for municipal subsidy. However, if you are working as a parent/caretaker, studying or participating in an integration course, you may be eligible for childcare allowance from the tax authority (Belastingdienst).
VVE compensation
The amount of your childcare allowance depends on several factors, but your income is the most important one. In most cases, you’ll be eligible for childcare allowance, including for the (VVE) Toddler program.
A pediatrician at the child health center is usually the one who determines whether a toddler needs extra support in the form of preschool education.
. If so, Gouda municipality will compensate half of your VVE childcare costs. All you’ll need to pay is a parent contribution for the remaining 50 percent.
In the case of a VVE indication, the parent contribution may vary. If you’re working, studying or participating in an integration course, you are eligible for childcare allowance, just like in the case of regular daycare.

We ♥ fairytales
We offer our VVE Toddler program at our Goverwelle location, where we want the learn-by-play experience to be enchanting. Meet our Fairytale village: a large, round indoor playground. This is our favorite spot at VIPKids Gouda Goverwelle, and we have a hunch that your toddler will agree…
Via a circus entrance of large stuffed animals, bubble blowers and sparkling lights you enter a true fairytale village. Here, children are introduced to the world in miniature: a hairdressing salon with a clothing boutique next to it, a flower shop, a real knights' hall and a little further a car garage complete with gas station, a view of the baby hotel and in the middle a beautifully lit fairy-tale tree with a swing.
VIP Kids Rooms
Right next door to our Fairytale village, we have a 250-square-meter garden where toddlers get to drive children’s cars across the traffic playground or get their hands dirty in our vegetable garden. Found some baby spinach, mint or berries? Those will be great for a delicious smoothie, prepared fresh every day together with the kids at our VIPKids Bakery. The energy boost will come in handy during a smashing show at the VIPKids Theatre or a dance-off at our children’s disco. Every day is a party!

Can your toddler also use an extra portion of magic? Come in during our open evening, every Thursday from 18.00:19.00 pm to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, or register your child immediately for our VVE toddler program.
VVE-Method
Learning is one big adventure. At a daycare center, that means: play away and discover new things every day. We guide the children through this process with a special VVE [preschool education] method. It provides your child with a great foundation for their future ‘school career’ and gives them all the confidence they will need to face whatever life may throw at them.
VVE Childcare VIPKids: Uk & Puk
VIPKids uses the Uk & Puk program. This allows us to work specifically on the development of children up to and including 4 years of age. The focus is not on testing, but on playing, discovering and growing.
Play and learn with Puk
Puk is a cheerful hand puppet who goes through the same experiences as Uk: your child. Children consider Puk a true buddy: he offers comfort at times of sadness and high fives when you’ve done something clever. Together with Puk, kids learn about all kinds of everyday things in a playful way.
We stimulate their development in the following areas:
- speech and language
- social-emotional
- motor and the sensory
- numeracy through playful numerical stimuli
We love it when everything comes together; like when we bake cupcakes together. At the VIPKids Bakery, they put on their chef’s clothes, name the ingredients, count how many grams of each ingredient go into the dish, stir the batter, enjoy the delicious smell of fresh pastry and work together to bake the most beautiful cupcakes. Learning new things and enjoying a delicious treat: win-win!
Do it yourself!
The Uk & Puk program is all about stimulating children to explore for themselves, encouraged by our preschool teachers, of course. They challenge the kids, provide structure and boundaries and in doing so, they create a trusted, safe environment where children get to discover the world.
Daily routine cards
It can be difficult for small children to understand what their day will look like. When are we eating fruit? Can we play outside or do we have to take a nap first? How long before mommy will pick me up?
That is why VIPKids uses Uk & Puk’s daily routine cards. We put them up one next to the other for everyone to see. That way, your child can always check what activities have been completed and which ones to expect for the remainder of the day.
The daily routine cards add peace of mind and routine – because even a fairytale world can’t do without some structure 😊
Playful learning in recognizable situations
Uk & Puk offers ten themes. VIPKids uses seven of them on average, including Family, ‘This is me’, Food and Weather.
As they participate in active play, the kids learn all kinds of new skills. We offer a lot of activities specific to their age group, but some play and learning moments work best in a vertical group together with all ages. Which contributes the family feeling VIPKids is committed to create: helping each other and learning from each other.
We work with a fixed VVE [preschool education] program to make sure all development areas are sufficiently covered.
And of course, VIPKids leaves enough time for a soap bubble show in the Fairytale village (Goverwelle location) or a soak in the jacuzzi on warm days (Centrum location).
